Novità ver. 16.9
NEW FWATURES AND COMMANDS
64-bit architecture
Moving to a 64-bit architecture allows
VisualCAM to make full use of all the memory available in the
Windows 64-bit address space. This removes the restrictive 4GB
memory limit imposed on 32-bit applications. This allows us to
support significantly larger databases with increased accuracy.
Stackup Augmentation
Full editing and augmentation of
your IPC-2581 stackup using VisualCAM’s Navigator and/or Stackup
editor is now available. You can now add Designer Notes, Standard
Notes, Impedance, Tolerances etc. with the assurance that your
augmented stackup will be defined per the IPC-2581 specification.
All data that you add to your stackup using VisualCAM will be saved
in your VisualCAM database and correctly exported IPC-2581 file.
This is truly one big step to single file manufacturing. VisualCAM’s
stackup editor allows you to keep libraries of standard, designer
and compliance notes, impedance definitions, material list, surface
finishes and even color control of how your layers are displayed on
screen so that you can decrease the amount of time required to
process your jobs.
Enhanced View Tabs
View tabs now save/restore more view
settings including viewed layers and part visibility.
-
We have added the optional ability to
automatically load default View Tabs for ease of viewing and
working with your data. These defaults include new Top and Bottom
part assembly view tabs
-
Customize your own working environment by
adding additional view tabs and controls
-
View Tabs support the new WSSI_SITE
environment variable so your whole team can use the same
environment setup
Site wide environment control
Control of several configuration
options at a network level is now available via the new WSSI_SITE
environment variable. Some of the settings available are:
-
View Tab Settings
-
Loading Macros
-
User Menu
-
DRC/DFM Rule Sets including dynamic rule sets
-
Advanced Panel Patterns
-
Custom Apertures Loaded
-
Stackup Settings, Notes, Impedance
Definitions, Materials List etc.
Options for object snapping
Using the HOME key during operations
which require a coordinate, now snaps to the nearest end or center
of lines, arcs, and polyline or polygon segments. Using SHIFT+HOME
allows snapping to the nearest point or centerline on the edge of an
item. CTRL+HOME and CTRL+SHIFT+HOME continue to pop the Absolute
coordinates dialog when snapping.
Fill Closed Polylines
It is now quite simple to turn an
entire design worth of drawn outlines into filled polygons with
voids. Options for cleaning up poorly drawn outlines help to solve
some of the toughest data manipulation needs.
Test Point Analysis
Design for Test (DFT) analysis checks
have been implemented for Test Point locations defined in IPC-2581
files. New checks include:
Updated Dimensioning Tools
Modeless dialogs for Drawing/Dimensioning
allow on-the-fly switching of parameters for a faster, smoother
workflow.

base point per drawing layer
-
Automatically create a drawing layer if one
does not exist during Add/Dimension command
-

BOM Report for ARE Licenses
-
Format control: Space Delimited or Comma
Delimited

Option to add Title Block and Column Headers
-
Control which fields export
-

Query Part Command
Implemented new Query Part command that allows
you to choose to display by Reference Designator, Part Number,
Footprint or Device. This new list control tracks what the user
types positioning the list selection automatically. The user can
touch the enter key or double click in the list. If a RefDes is
selected that part is highlighted on screen and the detailed part
information is shown in Item Properties in the Navigator. Any of the
other types result in the parts being highlighted and the item
properties shows a list of RefDes and a count. This command is
invoke-able from the old "Part Query" command.

functionality.
